Visakhapatnam President of India Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest at the Navy Day function being held here on the beach road to display 3-D power of Indian Navy on Sunday evening.

Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will also attend.

Vice Adm Biswajit Dasgupta FOC-in-C Eastern Naval Command told the media onboard INS Jalashwa on Saturday that elaborate arrangements have been made for the function.

The CinC appraised about important activities undertaken by ENC in the preceding year including the long-range deployments across the Indo-Pacific region, with ships visiting more than 25 ports and participating in 13 bilateral and five multilateral exercises with friendly foreign countries, including the maiden multilateral Maritime Exercise Milan 22 at Visakhapatnam.

The CinC also highlighted the 12th edition of the Presidential Fleet Review which was held at Visakhapatnam, wherein, the President reviewed over 120 ships, submarines and aircraft of the Indian Navy and other maritime agencies.

Vice Adm Dasgupta expressed gratitude to the Government of AP, the City Administration as well as residents of Visakhapatnam for partnering with the ENC in all its endeavours, big or small.

"It is an honour for the State, city and the Navy to host the President for the Navy Day celebrations." he said.
